Woodview Primary Care

Building Conversion and Fit Out Project

The Woodview Primary Care project is a Building Conversion and fit-out for a new general medical practice located in Glanmire on the outskirt of Cork city. The project entailed a complete internal redesign with curved walls and high ceiling entrance. The design concept evolved around the idea of creating a curved floating element in the space. Architecturally, the playfulness of the curved shape is contrasted with the strength of the external façade structure. The ground floor accommodates the reception, waiting area and nurse’s room. Further consultation facilities including physiotherapy are housed above on the mezzanine.

Conservation of Grade II* Listed Architectural Elements

One of the most iconic Grade II listed buildings in London. This building is of national importance as it was the first headquarters of the Port of London and the venue for the 1st UN meeting, and is being converted into a 7-star hotel.

The primary conservation work undertaken involved the conservation of the facade of this Grade II Listed Architectural building in the heart of London. Extensive conservation and repair work was conducted following the erection of 24-storey scaffold structure.

Additional work included the demounting, secure transportation and off-site conservation & subsequent re-fitting of architectural elements that included:

  • Laylights (rooflights)
  • Metal Windows (Phase 600 no.)
  • Wrought Iron stair balustrading
